Abso perfect!2nd best alarms I ve owned in 60+ years of fishing beaten only by the original broken light beam system of the 1980s Optonics... still have the Optonics but their bulk and weight compared to these S9v ones means they are relegated to the spares box these days...

I brought these alarms as I wanted decent equipment but didn’t want to spend hundreds of pounds. These alarms are fantastic, very precise if the sensitivity is set high. They are also nice and compact. The alarms take a cr2 battery, if you pop out the 4th form cut out there is a perfect place to store 6 of them :)

3 alarms - and excellent ones too! Bettered only by the original 1970's Optonics....

Do you still charge them with the USB lead thank you

No .... non-chargeable batteries. BUT can use chargeable batteries if you remove and charge separately ... but chargeable batteries have less power and need re-charging long before standard batteries need replacement.

Can you get a receiver for them?

No.... solely standalone. But IMHO anyone who needs a 'receiver' is TOO far from their rods to be in control!
